Breast Impressions, Inc.
Our mission is to increase breast cancer awareness and fund raising to support breast cancer education, prevention and treatment. We donate breast casting kits to women who have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer, to make a memory prior to surgery.
Breast Impressions believes that early detection SAVES lives! Breast self-exam (BSE), or regularly examining your breasts on your own, can be an important way to find a breast cancer early, when it's more likely to be treated successfully. But it also important to learn the proper way to do a breast self exam once a month, several days after your period. You should know how your breasts feel and look from age 20 throughout your lifetime.

Wonderful Books by Breast Impressions Friends Dr. Maguire has written an informative, and in layman’s terms book for anyone who has been affected by any form of cancer. With an often more confusing resource on the internet, this book approaches the basic questions any patient recently diagnosed with clarity and concise information. I believe it would also benefit the caregivers of the patient, to help them better understand what the patient is feeling. I highly recommend the book, and will suggest it to the many people who contact me on a weekly basis as a wonderful resource. www.janewilson.tatepublishing.net

A Jar for My Tears - Breast Cancer. Two words that can shake a woman to her very core and signify a loss of everything that makes her uniquely feminine. For Jane Wilson, author of A Jar for My Tears: A Journal of Prayer and Healing for Women with Breast Cancer, her world was forever changed when she heard those words, breast cancer. But as Jane faced her cancer treatment, she knew God had answers in his Word for the healing—both physical and emotional—that she so desperately sought. To help others cope with the same experience, Jane created a journal full of hope and encouragement in which a breast cancer patient can chronicle her journey, record her hopes and fears, and find the solace and peace that only God's Word can bring."

Goddesses Don't Buy Green Bananas- is a heart-felt compilation of extraordinary photos of some extraordinary women dealing with cancer of all types. It is a pictorial essay that will grab your attention with stories of triumph, conviction, power and bravery-- a book that Lesley Daley (author/photographer) wished was available when her thirty-five year old husband was diagnosed with cancer. Driven by her own desperate need to find "comfort" with cancer, she produced this book.

"Pink on Pink Writing: My Way Through Breast Cancer" is a collection of poetry and prose that poignantly captures the essence of the author Terry Werth's life changing experience of receiving a breast cancer diagnosis, the resulting journey through treatment and redefining her identity after treatment. Her writing will inspire those facing the battle with breast cancer to live “fully present in the moment to what matters most”. She opens up our understanding of living in faith through breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, however does not minimize the many paradoxes she faced; fear and hope, tears and laughter, a spiritual journey and test of faith, a dreaded diagnosis yet in some aspects, a gift. The book is also intended to be a guide for patients, family and friends of those facing a similar diagnosis. The essays, letters and poems can serve as templates for reflective writing, for topics of discussion, and as reminders of those who have shared the journey and who are able to also share wisdom and hope. This cohesive body of work illustrates the many aspects of life with and after breast cancer and the many unexpected ways it can empower a person to live fully and bravely.
