Raising Breast Cancer Awareness

Breast Impressions at Relay for Life

In Vallejo, CA

August 2, 2008—While on vacation in Kansas, team member Peggy Bradley of The Sutter Solano Medical Center learned about a non-profit called Breast Impressions. The organization offers a memory for people facing breast surgery while raising money for breast cancer research, education and treatment.

"Women can order this kit to make a cast of their breasts and then decorate them and make them into a piece of art," Bradley said. "It has been so inspiring, so many women who have had mastectomies have come by and said they wished they had known about this before their surgeries."

Thank you Peggy for helping spread the news!
